Pierluisi Discusses Potential Impact of Pending Congressional Bill on the Puerto Rico State Elections Commission

San Juan, Puerto Rico- The Resident Commissioner, Pedro Pierluisi, today discussed with the vice-presidents of the Puerto Rico State Elections Commission (CEE, for its acronym in Spanish) the potential impact of a bill pending in Congress that would require states and territories to ensure that its citizens can use the Internet to register to vote. Under the bill, which was introduced by Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), a potential voter would have to provide all necessary information to demonstrate his or her eligibility to vote in order to register electronically.
